The HS500E RFID Controller is EMS’ newest addition to the HS Series of Active RFID Systems. The HS500E features an integrated antenna and direct Ethernet connectivity. Ethernet connectivity allows users to build networks of Active RFID systems using a range of Industrial Ethernet protocols. The HS500E also features an OnDemand I/O Messaging feature that greatly reduces ladder logic programming when interfacing to PLCs.
Four LEDs indicate Power, Network, Read/Write, and Errors. Ethernet connectivity allows for each reader to be monitored onsite, or remotely, through any network enabled Laptop PDA etc. The IP67 Industrial rating is consistent with Escort Memory Systems reputation of manufacturing rugged Industrial RFID products. The HS500E features a read range of up to 4 inches when reading Escort Memory Systems’ HS Series tags.
The HS500-Series Read/Write Antennas provide an interface between a Read/Write RFID Controller and the data in the HS-Series Read/Write Tags. The Antennas can transfer data at the astonishing speed of 3000 Bytes/Second. Most importantly these antennas can Read/Write data through virtually any non-conductive material and are unaffected by paint, dust, dirt and solvents. The compact size and long range of the antenna makes it ideal for use in factory automation environments where space is at a premium.
The HS850B Serial Eurocard Controller provides the complete interface between the serial port of the users' host computer and up to four HS-Series Antennas. Up to 45 HS850B Controller cards can be connected on one RS485 multidrop line, allowing a single host to control up to 180 Antennas. The connection between the Eurocard Controller and each Antenna is via two twisted pairs (four wires) with a maximum cable length of 1200 meters.
The HS880-Series Read/Write Controllers used with the HS-Series Read/Write Tags and Antennas are the workhorses of our Controller line. Incorporating high-level language capability, the HS880 Controllers offer two fully-buffered bi-directional serial ports and can control up to four Antennas. These Controllers process data at 3,000 bytes per second, contain 32KB of RAM and have 64 programmable TTL-level I/O points. The HS882 Controller enhances the standard features of the HS880 Controller with a faster processor and the addition of battery backed real time clock/date capabilities required for data logging.
The HS900 PC-Bus Read/Write Controller is an XT-type PC expansion board which serves as the interface between a PC, XT, AT or PC-compatible personal computer and up to four HS-Series Antennas. The Antenna cable length can be up to 4000 feet, which is advantageous because the Controller portion of the RFID system is then afforded extra protection from noise that could be generated by electrical equipment positioned near the Read/Write station.
The RS427 is a compact, versatile Reader featuring an integrated antenna built inside a NEMA 4 enclosure. The integrated Antenna can be rotated from 90 degrees to 180 degrees to provide Read flexibility for most applications.
The RS427 is available with an RS485 multidrop interface (MUX32 protocol), or RS232 point-to-point interface and either a horizontal or vertical read head.
The RS427-04 Passive Read Only Conveyor Antenna is designed to be installed between the metal rollers of a conveyor. The Conveyor Antenna features a13 inch wide reading field. Communicating with the Conveyor Antenna are Escort Memory Systems' low-cost ES620-Series Read Only Passive Tags.
The ES tags are now used in pairs every time a “run” in the material is found in the inspection station.
